These two lessons answer several who have asked, "Are congregations of the church of Christ SCRIPTURAL without an eldership?" Let me say before you study these lessons with us that there is a great difference between ELDERSHIP and LEADERSHIP. Yes, our Lord desires elders in every city/every local church of Christ! But if the men within that local work are NOT QUALIFIED, then there is no authority to place them into that office simply to say you have elders!
